FOBRAZ a FOTOPLASTIKA

je moje vlastní technika propojení fotografie, 3D objektu a malby, se kterou jsem začala pracovat ještě před rokem 1980. Syntézou technik a principem využití tří různých médií v jednom objektu jsem o několik let předešla pozdější velkou mezinárodní vlnu „inscenované fotografie“.

Měla jsem a mám rozporuplný vztah k fotografii. Je to první předjezdec virtuální reality. Nemám ráda virtuální realitu. Schováváme se v ní před skutečným (a nádherným) darem životem i sami před sebou. Tak jsem si s fotografii začala hrát, testovat ji a mučit. Používala jsem fotografie jako ne moc podstatný příběh, nanášela a natahovala jsem je jako podklad na objekt, který byl napřed modelován, zohýbán či zvlněn a  nakonec zčásti nebo úplně dovršen malbou. Fotografie, plasticita a malba se vzájemně nerespektovaly, spíš spolu zápasily o vytvoření nových souvislostí a nové reality. Objekt si žil vlastním životem. Dokonce i v dílech, kde z fotografie překryté tvary a vrstvami nebylo navenek nic vidět, tam stále byla nějak přítomná. Bylo to velké a zvláštní dobrodružství.

Poprvé jsem své FOBRAZY a  FOTOPLASTIKY představila na výstavě „ K obrazu svému“ v Praze na Jungmanové náměstí až v roce 1987. Výstava měla značný ohlas a koncem 80 a v 90 letech jsem vystavovala na všech významných výstavách inscenovaného umění a fotografie doma i v zahraničí. Moje tvorba byla často publikována v médiích v ČR i ve světě.

PHOTO and PHOTOPLASTICS

is my own technique of combining photography, 3D object and painting, which I started working with before 1980. The synthesis of techniques and the principle of using three different media in one object preceded the later great international wave of "staged photography" by several years.

I had and have a contradictory relationship with photography. It is the first forerunner of virtual reality. I don't like virtual reality. It hides us from the real (and wonderful) gift of life and ourselves. So I started playing with photography, testing it and torturing it. I used photographs as a not-so-substantial narrative, superimposing and stretching them as a base on an object that was first modeled, bent or undulated, and finally partially or completely finished with a painting. Photography, plasticity and painting did not respect each other, rather they struggled together to create new contexts and new realities. The object had a life of its own. Even in works where nothing could be seen outwardly from the photograph overlaid with shapes and layers, it was still somehow present there. It was a great and strange adventure.

For the first time I presented my FOBRAZY and PHOTOPLASTICS at the exhibition "In My Own Image" in Prague on Jungman Square in 1987. The exhibition was very well received and in the late 80's and 90's I exhibited at all major exhibitions of staged art and photography at home and abroad. My work was often published in the media in the Czech Republic and abroad.
